Castro Verde

Off inland to the steppes of CV and to hunt the elusive Great Bustard, the heaviest bird that flys, so it should be easy then !

From the top of the town you have uninterrupted views of the plains to the horizon, in the words of a Canadian local I know “if you kick your dog you can watch it run away for two days”. So off to explore.

Santa Luzia & Sao Bartolomeu de Messines

One of our favourite places next to the Ria Formosa the pontoon bridge and the little red train perfect for bird life and walking the long beaches. A few days in the car park in the sun before we move off to Sao Bartolomeu de Messines to meet up with Nina & Pete for more eating, drinking and card games !
